About

Tom Venesky is an award-winning outdoor writer with 20 years of experience. His work has been featured in newspapers and magazines across Pennsylvania, as well as numerous television and radio appearances.

A life-long resident of Pennsylvania, Tom grew up with a passion for hunting, fishing and the outdoors. In his teens, Tom read Ned Smith’s classic outdoors book, “Gone for the Day,” and he developed a strong desire to document his adventures and eventually become an outdoors writer.

While Tom focuses extensively on hunting and fishing topics, he also incorporates nature and wildlife subjects to appeal to a wide array of viewers who have an interest in the outdoors. Whether it’s a walk in the woods or a day fishing in the mountains for wild trout, Tom strives to make his viewers feel as though they are with him wherever he goes.

As a Pennsylvania hunter and angler, Tom uses his firsthand experience to offer content that is relevant and unique to a broad audience.

When he’s not exploring the outdoors, Tom spends his time on his family farm in Luzerne County, with his wife Kathleen and their 6-year-old twins, Hunter and Kelly Ann.
